Hello Friends!
We missed you all so much! It’s so good to be back. We’ve been going through so many big changes over here, and there’s still more work to be done, but we thought it was time to check in.
First of all, Rachel and Stevie both moved. What’s even crazier is that we moved in together. I know, right? How does one house hold so much yarn?! Well, actually, it doesn’t. Which leads to our next big thing…
A String Thing is currently in the proposal stage for an actual brick and mortar store. Guys… We’re going to have a real store! With yarn! To sell! And needles and hooks and all kinds of wonderful goodies to go along with it! We’re still in the early stages – scoping out locations, talking with vendors, working with smart people who set up businesses for a living, but this is happening, and fast. And we couldn’t be happier.
With this, we’ve also started to take some things into our own hands, and are now offering lessons, parties, and group events. So if you want to learn a new skill, or a friend wants to learn, or maybe you want to get a group of friends together for a “learn to knit” night, we’d be happy to help. Just click here to send us a message, or drop us a message on Facebook, and we’ll be happy to get you on the schedule.
While we were gone, we were invited to participate in the Barnes & Noble Maker Faire at the Cherry Hill, NJ location. Lots of cool things happened that weekend, including this.
Yup, that’s a robotic arm drawing our logo. How cool is that?! I wish we had a video, but we were just so excited, we forgot to record it. There was also a 3D printer working its magic all weekend, and they had several cool building toys to play with, besides the classic LEGOs.
Okay, we have to go back to boring spreadsheets, and floor plans, and all that stuff. But we’ll be back next week, when we’ll need your help deciding how we want the new blog to take form.
See “ewe” next week!
