It’s WIP Wednesday, and I’ve got something dainty for you. Continuing our George Washington Carver theme, George made some beautiful crocheted lace pieces, like this:
I’ve been working on a different kind of lace- making, called Tatting. There are a few different methods of making, but I’ve worked primarily with shuttle tatting. You can also work on a needle, which is called needle tatting.
I just started to learn needle tatting, and it’s very similar. It’s tiny, but I think it’s fun. Right now I’m making some book marks. The red flower may just stay a flower, I’m still thinking about it, but the navy butterfly is ready, and the other butterfly is in progress. I’m working from this lovely pattern from Yarnplayer.
