It’s #ThankfulThursday and we’re thankful for George Washington Carver!
Why? Because without him, we wouldn’t have one of our favorite fibers, cotton! George Washington Carver was known as “the Plant Doctor” when he was young, so it was no surprise that he figured out that some plants pull a lot of nutrients out of the soil (like cotton) and some plants put nutrients back in the soil (like peanuts!)
Without George Washington Carver teaching the farmers to rotate their crops, we may not have cotton today!
